Rhhhaaa!!! Bought the mini Fuji Polaroid camera a few months back. And I like it! It is instant and the print-out colour is not too bad.
I did a bit of research on buying the real Polaroid cameras which are almost rare to see these days. I decided to buy Mini Fuji Film Instant camera which produce similar polaroid photos but in name card size. It is because I think I can get the film easily in any Fuji Film store island wide. But I was a bit upset because I was expecting usual size polaroid film.
I try to sell them on Ebay but I set the price higher just because I want to let go but still having fun with it.
I was in doubt to get real vintage Polaroid because the company has ceased the production of the film due to digital camera which mushroom-ing around the world. I can be sure 14 year old kids can shoot better with SLR camera which they get from their birthday present. I don't have good quality SLR camera yet, it's pretty expensive comparing what I have. A usual Canon D10.
The Polaroid company, which will concentrate on digital cameras and printers has filed for bankruptcy in 2001 and was acquired by a private investment company in 2005. But I do love their cheap looking quality of film.
During my visit in Jakarta last April, I went to Brightspot Market in Pacific Plaza. It is a place where we can find any artsy, unique and fun stuffs made in Indonesia or young creative people.
